Miss A 미스에이 Members Profile

Members Fei and Jia were casted in 2007. Fei was scouted on her way to dance school. Jia's school held auditions. Min auditioned when she was in the 6th grade, and traveled to the U.S for 6 years for training but came back in 2008 to continue activities in Korea. She is known to be a trainee who has been training for a long time along with Wonder Girls' Sunye (sun) and 2am's Jo Kwon. Members Fei and Jia appeared in 2pm's My Color music video. Suzy Bae was also a model.

2010: Debut and "Bad Girl Good Girl"

Miss A made their official debut in early July 2010. Originally, Miss A was announced as a trio consisting of Fei, Jia and Suzy in June 2010. Prior to this, they were widely known to fans unofficially as JYP Sisters. They were a 5-member group in training in 2009, but had gone through several changes, most notably the exit of Hye Lim who joined the Wonder Girls, while two other girls had left. Suzy had then joined after this, and a name change was issued.

On June 22, 2010, Miss A was officially announced as a quartet, with Min joining the group. An official Youtube channel was made for them, premiering the music video for a Samsung Anycall campaign song, in which only three of the girls featured, titled "Dashi Sarang" (다시 사랑 "Love Again"). Then, on June 30 the girls premiered the "Bad Girl Good Girl" music video for their debut single, "Bad But Good" containing 4 songs. Their debut stage, was on M! Countdown on July 1, starting promotion for the single. "Bad Girl Good Girl" has since become very popular, topping various online music charts.

On July 22, 2010, Miss A was number one for the first time on Mnet's M! Countdown with "Bad Girl Good Girl". The following day on July 23 the group took the number one title again on KBS Music Bank.
On August 1st, 2010, Miss A claimed their first Mutizen on SBS Inkigayo with "Bad Girl Good Girl".
On September 26, 2010, Miss A released their second video "Breathe" on Youtube.

2011: Solo activities and comeback

Suzy starred in "Dream High" as the main character Go Hye Mi with 2PM's Taecyeon, 2PM's Wooyoung, IU, T-ara's Eunjung and actor Kim Soo Hyun. miss A member, Min, was a fixed student on KBS's variety show Oh! My School, also known as 100 Out of 100. The show has since been cancelled. Jia appeared in M&D's music video for "Close Your Mouth" with FT Island's Hongki & B2ST's Jun Hyung which is released on June 22, 2011. After postponing their comeback which was meant for May 2011 after the release of "Love Alone" in July of 2011, miss A announced their comeback with their first full album called "A Class" which was released on July 18, 2011.

The week before their comeback the audio teaser for their title track "Goodbye Baby" was released on July the 10th. After this each day there was a new MV teaser for each of the members starting off with Min on July 11th, Fei on July 12th, Jia on July 13th and maknae Suzy on July 14th respectively. On July the 15th the album cover and tracklist were revealed. “A Class” their first full length album consists of a hot mix of previously-released hits and new tracks. A total of 13 songs. They released their highly anticipated album digitally at 12:00am on July the 18th and the songs from the album had already starting climbing the charts. The music video was released on Miss A's official youtube a few hours later.

Get Clear, Smooth Skin

1. Be healthy! Exercising regularly gives you a beautiful healthy glow, and can actually improve the condition of your skin. Drink lots of water, 8 cups a day, to help your skin to be healthy, and try to eat healthy, too. For example, don't eat loads of fatty, greasy foods like fries and burgers.

The Truth of Friendship

Friends are only friends if they are willing to tell you the truth. Otherwise, they are just mere acquaintances.

It saddens and frustrates me when friends don't tell friends the truth. I mean, when someone complains about the same thing over and over again (or the same person over and over again i.e. if they can't forgive someone or see their innocence), perhaps someone should tell them...HEY BUD, IT's YOU!

I remember a friend of mine crying to me one night about how he is so trusting with people but they always let him down. I told my friend right then and there that it wasn't about trusting people, it was about his discernment. He called it trust so he could blame them if the relationship didn't go his way. He was not taking responsibility for his part in it. That's the truth for so many of us.

Now, just to be clear...you must be a good friend, a friend that has the ability to listen beyond the story being told i.e. does not put loyalty above the truth.

A good friend doesn't believe there is only one version to any story... there is always two. A good friend may say things like, "Man that sucks" but they also follow that up with ... "and what was your part in it?" Maybe not in that same moment but in a moment that follows...the moment of true friendship.

What I have come to realize is, sadly, some people don't want the truth. They don't want truth friends. They don't want to be called out or called on to change themselves or their version of the story. Heck, they are so busy weaving a story they probably don't know what the truth is anymore.

Telling a story is the way we give our life meaning. So I understand the seduction of it. Yet inside the story we are either taking responsibility or blaming. What is your intention when you tell a story? Do you want people to 'side' with you? Do you want to find the lessons in the story? Do you want to search for the truth for each person in the story?

How do you know if the people in your life are true friends? Who will call you on the stories you tell that are just plain stories?

Ask yourself:
Are you able to hear feedback without getting defensive?
And if you do get defensive, can you admit it?
Do you ask your friends "is it me?"
Are you willing to hear the answer?

You might have people in your life that you feel are true friends, but true friends will never agree with you one hundred percent of the time. They can't. Sometimes you are just wrong and they are the ones that you can trust to tell you.

So do you have true friends?

Do you give your friends the space to question you, i.e. go deeper or see the other persons point of view? Are you committed to the truth more than being right?

If you want to be right, forget it. Your friends can't help you and your friends have learned a long time ago that you don't want their help. They KNOW you want to be right and personally, a commitment to being right is so small-minded.

As A Course in Miracles says: Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?

Sure, being right feels good. No one can argue that. But personally, I want to be happy. And sometimes it is my friends that help me get there.


Canon EOS 550D DSLR

 Canon has unveiled the latest in its long line of consumer digital SLRs, the Rebel T2i (EOS 550D). Highlights include 1080p HD video recording (with full manual control), an 18MP CMOS sensor, 3 inch 3:2 LCD with 1040k dot resolution and the 63-point iFCL metering system first seen on the EOS 7D. The new Rebel also offers a handful of less attention-grabbing upgrades, including redesigned buttons, 3.7 fps continous shooting, +/-5 stops exposure compensation and UI support for Eye-Fi cards. We spent a little time with a pre-production EOS 550D last week and have produced a detailed hands-on preview and (quick) gallery of Beta samples - check it out after the link...




Less than a year after the launch of the EOS Rebel T1i (500D) comes the latest in Canon's hugely popular consumer SLR range, the Rebel T2i (EOS 550D). With the 450D and 500D Canon appeared to be pulling away slightly from the real 'entry level' (a sector driven almost entirely by price), and the EOS 550D - on paper at least - is no exception, outgunning many of the 'upper entry level' and mid range SLRs on the market today in terms of spec. To ensure it doesn't lose out at the price-sensitive DSLR entry point Canon is once again introducing its new flagship Rebel as a 'sister' product to the camera it ostensibly replaces. The EOS 500D (Rebel T1i) will be staying in the range for the rest of 2010 (at, one presumes, a more attractive price point). We would assume that the new model finally spells the end of the line for the current 'bargain' Canon, the venerable Rebel XSi (EOS 450D).

In many respects the EOS 550D is a 'baby EOS 7D'. As well as getting a resolution boost to a class-leading 18 megapixels and a significantly upgraded movie mode (which now offers full HD capture at up to 30 fps, has full manual control and the option to use an external stereo microphone), the EOS 550D gets the 7D's sophisticated new metering system (bringing it a lot closer to similarly positioned Nikon SLRs). It also sports a new widescreen (3:2) LCD panel, has improved button design and finally offers the ability to customize the Auto ISO function.

It's clear Canon has been feeling the heat from the aggressive competition it faces from the numerous feature-laden cameras offered by Nikon, Pentax, Sony and Olympus in this market sector, and has decided to throw down the gauntlet with the most highly-specced Rebel we've ever seen. We'll reserve judgment on whether it's destined to be a class-leader until we've got a final production sample in for review, and I'm sure there's plenty of you interested to see how well it does too. As it stands we've managed to get hold of a pre production sample for a day in order to produce this brief hands-on preview to tide you over.

Why do people cry?

Both animals and humans can produce tear but the reason for tears can be different in both of them. Tear ducts are present below the upper eyelid which lubricates and protect our eyes from the dust particles. Human eyes produce three types of tears i.e. basal, reflex and emotional.

Basal tear
These are the primary tear which are released regularly and keeps the surface of eyes clean and lubricated. It forms the thin film with every blink to protect the eye.

Reflex tear
When some dust particle or micro organisms enters our eye then it responds by producing reflex tears. These tears have different chemical composition from the basal tears. That is why it makes the dust particles to leave the eyes more quickly than the basal tears. While cutting onion, suffering and seasonal allergies our eyes brim with tears and produces reflex tears to get rid of the sufferings. Amino acids sulfoxides are present in onion which is a kind of organic molecule. After cutting the onion skin, allinases (a type of enzymes) forms a mixture with sulfoxides to get sulphenic acid. When it comes in contact with the oxygen the sulfenic acid forms syn-propanethial-s-oxide and thiosulfinates which irritates our eyes and finally the eyes produce reflex tears.

Emotional tears
Emotional tears are produced when a person is in the extreme grip of a particular emotion like sadness, anger or sometimes happiness too. Our eyes also produce emotional tears when we are physically injured because our body cannot differentiate between physical and emotional pain.

Emotional tears contain more manganese which highly affects our temperament and also have the enough prolactin, a hormone which is responsible for the regulation of milk production in the body. So when eyes release manganese and prolactin through eyes which drop down the stress and tension level by which the person feels better than before.

Prolactin level is more in women as compared to men which is used while nursing infants and feeding. At that time women feel calmer, sleepy and relaxed because of the release of prolactin.

Beside all this emotional tears are one of the sources of communication. This is the only way for the babies to communicate and inform their parents that they are feeling pain or something is disturbing them. While in adults crying creates a bond with the other person. Crying is a definite proof for the others that the person is in the extreme of a particular emotion for e.g. during funeral crying shows the extremity of sadness. Sometimes people cry because of extreme happiness or getting the unexpected thing which he wants desperately. Most of the people cry after watching an emotional movie which doesn’t mean that yor are total after all but it shows that the person is normal and have feelings. Some researchers say that the people who cry more frequently enjoy good health.

It has not been proved yet that do animals also shed tears because of emotional reasons but it is proved by the scientists in the case of humans and they cannot control the tears when they are in the extreme of a particular emotion.

Women can cry more frequently than the men not only because of higher prolactin level but also their crying is more acceptable than the men in the society.

The high prevalence of obesity and overweight problems in our culture means much more emphasis is placed on losing weight rather than gaining weight. It is easy to forget about people who have the problem of being too thin.

What To Eat To Gain Weight

Increasing your intake of junk foods and greasy foods is not a good way to gain weight. Junk foods usually contain unhealthy trans fats or saturated fats. Even though you need to increase your calorie consumption to gain weight, those calories should come from foods that are good for you.

Healthy fats include omega-3 essential fatty acids sources like tuna, salmon, flax, and walnuts. Good sources of protein include lean meats, fish, poultry, nuts, seeds and legumes. Healthy carbohydrate sources include fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

It may be easier to eat five or six smaller balanced meals per day rather than eating three large meals, especially if you are not used to eating much at one sitting.

Protein powders and nutritional supplement drinks can be added as in-between meal snacks if you still need more calories. Some protein powders are flavored and only need added water and some others can be blended with your choice of juice or milk to improve the taste.

It would also be a healthy idea to add a small amount of flax seed oil and some psyllium powder to add some omega-3 essential fatty acids and extra fiber.

Exercise is also important for healthy weight gain. Resistance training exercises such as lifting weights will help to increase your muscle size.   • Keep your meals balanced. One meal should have a healthy protein source such as fish, low fat meat, chicken or legumes plus two or three servings of vegetables. Green vegetables add lots of vitamins and phytonutrients while starchy potatoes and corn add extra calories.
  • Drink healthy beverages such as milk and fruit juices to add calories. Don't choose sugary sodas, which only add calories and no nutrition.

Sleep Deprivation

It's hard enough having just a few hours of sleep a night, but when you're not sleeping at all, it can be seriously depressing and frustrating. The figures are not known precisely, but hundreds of people commit suicide each year due to sleep related disorders. Not sleeping can have a heavy impact on a person's life and drive them to do desperate things.

Chronic insomnia is debilitating. Its crippling effects it can have on a person's psychological and physical health should not be overlooked. Most people may understand what it feels like to have a bad night sleep, but very few know what it's like to be a chronic insomniac. Not sleeping or barely sleeping night after night for months and years is not a condition to be taken lightly.

Chronic insomnia can change a person's outlook on life completely. Imagine feeling exhausted and miserable every day. Imagine lying in bed every night with nothing but worrying thoughts going through your head. Imagine tossing and turning and not sleeping a wink only to see the sun come up. Imagine getting up to go to work everyday, completely exhausted, irritated, with low self-esteem and confidence. Often insomniacs feel much worse than this.

It's no wonder depression and anxiety disorders are so prevalent in sleep sufferers. Not sleeping for one night can make a normal sleeper feel depressed, experience low mood and feel easily irritable and frustrated. Imagine feeling like this everyday? It's depressing just thinking about it.

Chronic insomniacs feel desperate. All they want is half a decent night sleep, and yet night after night they find themselves not sleeping, no matter how tired and drowsy they are. And that's one of the hardest things to deal with for a sufferer - being so utterly exhausted and still not being able to sleep.

Consider that in some countries, sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture. Yes, that's right inflicted sleeplessness as a form of torture. It just proves what a terrible condition this can be. Often prisoners who are tortured or interrogated under this method agree that nothing comes close to the immense desire to sleep.

There's of course a difference between not sleeping, and wanting to and being forced to stay awake, however the effects of both are comparable. Blurred vision, decreased mental activity, dizziness, confusion, hallucinations and memory loss - these are all things that insomniacs never get used to, but have to live with on a daily basis.
 
 
Short-term effects of sleep deprivation: 
  1. Decreased daytime alertness. Loss of 1 ½ hours sleep can result in a 30-35% reduction in daytime alertness.
  2. Tiredness and feeling a need for 0a nap
  3. Irritability, edginess and moodiness
  4. Headache
  5. Loss of balance and coordination
  6. Inability to tolerate stress
  7. Memory lapses and difficulty concentrating
  8. Learning, behavioral or social problems
  9. Blurred vision
  10. Vague body discomfort
  11. Changes in appetite
  12. Feeling lazy
  13. Hypnagogic hallucinations (the state between being awake and falling asleep. For some people, this is a time of visual and auditory hallucination.
  14. Uncooperative attitude
  15. Hallucinations, delusions and illusions (Hallucinations are false perceptions that occur in the absence of appropriate external stimuli, whereas illusions are misinterpretations of external stimuli that are, in fact, present).
  16. Slowing and slurring of speech and difficulty naming common objects.
  17. Episodes of fragmented thinking
  18. Paranoia
  19. Expressionless appearance or looking and feeling dazed
  20. Monotone speech
  21. Feeling frustrated if not being able to nap

Long-term effects of sleep deprivation:

  • Psychiatric problems such as depression and other mood disorders

The Death of MySpace

People surf the web...and people are fickle. Welcome to the world of Internet social networking. In recent days, the once popular MySpace has been forced to make major changes in the face of their fading popularity. With Facebook and Twitter taking center stage, the once powerful and popular MySpace is being forced to "clear" space.

Rise and Fall of MySpace

Social networking site, MySpace, will have to cut jobs in order to survive an unpleasant trend. The site plans to cut an estimated 30% of its workforce in the face of a rapid decline in popularity. MySpace will now have roughly 1,000 employees. The social network has not been able to keep pace with the wildfire known as Twitter and Facebook.
Membership and time spent on the site has been in a steady decline since the turn of the year. In 2005, MySpace was purchased by media genius Rupert Murdoch's NewsCorp. At the time of purchase MySpace was the leading social network on the Internet. However, like any current trend, days pass and people change.

According to a recent study, an estimated 73% spent time on MySpace in April of 2008. However, one year removed, only 23% spent their time on the social networking site. During this decline competitor, Facebook, was hitting a mark of 66%.

Facebook is King

When one man falls, another man rises. In the case of social networking, the fall of MySpace meant the crowning of Facebook. The social network is now the leader of the pack. Researches say Facebook caters to a wide range of people and offers more diversity and ways to interact.
MySpace now has a younger demographic and leads all social networking outlets in respect to media entertainment. The current status suggests people frequent MySpace for their media needs…but not to socialize.

Can MySpace Recover

The history of Internet social networking has one constant pattern; once you fall...you stay down. History shows that no site has been able to fully recover from a substantial dip in popularity. Once a person leaves for a new network(s), they rarely come back.

Also, the more "adult" crowd that Facebook has obtained has more buying power than the MySpace demographic so advertisers are more likely to cater to the Facebook social outlet. It is estimated that the popularity of social networks seems to be less than two years. So what's "hot" today could be a distant memory in 24 months.

This means even the popular Facebook and Twitter will one day face the same music as the declining MySpace. "Technology will evolve to the point where it leaves MySpace, Facebook or Twitter behind," said Jon Gibs, vice president of media analytics for Nielsen Online. So…make your final "tweet" and compose one last wall post...because the clock is ticking.

Facebook ??

Facebook - a popular name among those who are so into it. Individuals who have an account in Facebook are now using more of their time to socialize with other people amidst the distance and lack of time. And even if a community like Facebook serves numerous advantages, it also proves to have certain disadvantages as well. There are now series of improvements in the system just to make up with the shortcomings. Arguments regarding the different advantages and disadvantages of Facebook are stated below.

Advantages

· Allows user search for new and old friends
· Accessible to chosen universities having a high level of security
· Makes it less awkward when communicating with strangers or people you are not familiar with
· Love attraction - can be used as a dating service system
· Makes it easier to join groups having similar likes and dislikes
· Allows members to check students who are taking the same class, living within the same area, or coming from the same academy

Disadvantages

· Overcrowding
· Weakening long distance relationship
· Unsupported by physical adjacency
· Contributes wide-range procrastination
· Rampant addiction
· Stalking is possible
· Acquaintances be labeled as friends

Surely, the disadvantages don't pose a threat to you just by merely looking at it. Someone else has to prove that what users do with their profile is directly in proportion with what can happen to them. A user must understand what he is trying to give out otherwise things might get messy and people will mistook them as someone else.

It is quite obvious that a trade off is happening between the advantages and disadvantages of Facebook. While it increases the communication and connection between friends and the online community it also increases the risk of procrastination and makes it easier for others to stalk a user. Worse, some are actually punished for what they put on their profile and would claim that it was there only for fun.

Despite the above mentioned advantages and disadvantages of an online networking service, it still is gaining demand and popularity among the young crowd. There are about 10,000 students (professionals and young professionals not yet included) who are joining into Facebook every day. This is regardless of the age, race and country. Some are now trying to criticize the status of professionalism of this site whether it's just another fad like other online networking services are.

Canon EOS 60D DSLR

Canon has unveiled the EOS 60D mid-level DSLR, replacing the EOS 50D. However, following the launch of the EOS 7D, the 60D has been repositioned in the market, so isn't a simple upgrade to its predecessor. Instead the 60D is a smaller camera featuring an articulated screen and plastic body shell and utilizing SD memory cards. It combines the 18MP CMOS sensor and 1040k dot 3.0" LCD from the EOS 550D (Rebel T2i) with the AF system from the 50D. Meanwhile it gains the 7D's HD movie capability. We've had a chance to use a pre-production 60D so have prepared a hands-on preview, including sample images and movies.

London, UK, 26th August 2010 - Canon today announces the latest addition to its world-famous EOS series of Digital SLR (DSLR) cameras – the new EOS 60D. Replacing the EOS 50D, the EOS 60D is designed for photographers who want to take their skills to the next level, offering high performance, a series of creative features, a Vari-angle LCD screen and enhanced ergonomics – empowering photography enthusiasts to capture outstanding stills and Full High Definition (HD) video for unique, creative results.
 High speed, high resolution
With an 18 Megapixel APS-C sensor, the EOS 60D offers high levels of detail and a magnification of 1.6x the focal length of the lens to capture poster-size images in a variety of aspect ratios*1. Canon’s powerful DIGIC 4 technology rapidly processes image information captured from the CMOS sensor’s four-channel output, providing outstanding colour reproduction, as well as high-speed shooting at 5.3fps in bursts of 58 full-resolution JPEGs.

A standard ISO range of 100-6400 is extendable to 12800, providing smooth images with minimal noise in low light conditions. A 9-point, all cross-type autofocus (AF) system also provides swift and accurate focusing, with an extra-sensitive centre point for lenses faster than f/2.8, allowing photographers to artistically employ a shallow depth of field during portraiture or for more atmospheric shooting.

The EOS 60D features Canon’s iFCL metering system, first introduced with the acclaimed EOS 7D, with a 63-zone Dual-Layer sensor.  Information on subject location is gathered from the Auto Focus system, and is combined with colour and luminance readings for consistent accurate exposures whatever the situation. The Integrated Speedlite transmitter also provides in-camera control of multiple EX flash units for more creative lighting.

Shoot from all angles
A new 7.7cm (3.0”) Vari-angle wide LCD monitor features a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 1,040k dot resolution, providing added flexibility and allowing photographers to view their images in incredible detail. The Vari-angle wide LCD helps frame shots from difficult angles, and can be positioned with Live View enabled to achieve the desired composition if shooting isn’t possible using the viewfinder. The ability to capture wildlife portraits, overhead shots or ground-level photography is instantly enhanced, and the surface of the screen features an anti-reflective, water-repellent coating to protect the screen allows easy viewing in bright light and from a variety of angles.

Empowering creativity
A new Basic + function makes it easy for photographers to add their own creative touch to images without worrying about changing settings. Photographers can add ambiance to a scene by shooting according to lighting and scene type, with Portrait, Landscape, Close-Up, Sport, Night Snapshot or Creative AUTO modes all available. Different effects can be achieved by shooting with Basic + enhancements such as Daylight, Cloudy or Sunset or pre-set Picture Styles including Vivid, Soft, Warm or Monochrome.
EOS Movies: Full HD video with complete control
Offering photographers the freedom to go beyond stills, the EOS 60D captures 1920x1080p HD video with a variety of user-selectable frame rates, including 30, 25 and 24fps, as well as 720p video at 60 and 50fps. Movie Crop mode is also available, recording with the central 640x480 pixel area of the sensor to create an effective magnification of approximately seven times the focal length of the lens.

Full manual control in Movie mode allows photographers to employ their own exposure and focus settings and take advantage of the effects achieved from Canon’s wide range of EF lenses. An external stereo microphone terminal and the ability to adjust sound recording level ensures the audio track recorded matches the visual quality of the video, capturing broadcast-quality sound.

For those who want to share images with friends and family, an integrated HDMI port is compatible with Consumer Electronics Control (HDMI-CEC), allowing video and images to be viewed on any compatible HD-ready TV and controlled via the TV remote.

For photographers who want to transfer content wirelessly, the EOS 60D includes Eye-Fi connected functions*2. The EOS 60D features a dedicated Eye-Fi section in the User Interface allowing WiFi functionality to be turned off when not required to save battery life
